Mane admitted earlier this month that he had no explanation as to why he was suffering the “worst season” of his Reds career.
At this point in the season, the Senegalese international had only managed to score 14 times in 44 matches.
This return was a far cry from the previous two seasons, when Mane had helped his side achieve Champions League and Premier League glory.

The former Southampton man has scored three goals in his side’s last five games, including a brace on the last day of the season against Crystal Palace.
This victory at Anfield helped ensure the Reds secured a third place in the table, and Wright spoke of his surprise that some chose to question the forward during the season.
“Mane ended up getting them to where they needed to be. I was reading stuff where fans were trying Mane I couldn’t believe it, especially when you look at how long it took Firmino to get started, ”the former Arsenal man told his Wrighty’s House podcast .
