Hojbjerg and Kane score, Dele and Reguilon impress with Tanganga Solid – fr

Hugo lloris
The Frenchman barely had a save to make during the match other than a few comfortable holds. Her lower rating is purely due to not having much to deal with. 6

Japhet Tanganga

Has descended well to the right in a role of reserved lateral rear. Headed from a corner of Son with a little over 20 minutes to go. Blocked Moutinho’s shot just in front of goal in the 77th minute. 7

Toby Alderweireld

Lost Saiss behind him early in the second half for what should have resulted in a better Wolves man header. Other than that, he handled a lot of what happened to him. 7

Eric Dier

After his bad day at the Elland Road office, he needed to give a performance that remained under the radar and he did, rarely being troubled by the onslaught of wolves. 7

Sergio Reguilon

I saw a shot saved early in the second half, then played a pivotal role in the second goal, managed to keep Alli’s pass on the pitch, then fought to win it back at Hoever before putting the ball in the box. A much brighter display of the Spanish. 8

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Did a lot of dirty work in midfield and got creative with a perfectly weighted pass for Kane’s goal just before half-time. Then he scored a goal and an assist for his day’s effort when he hit the rebound of Bale’s saved shot. Best Spurs player of the day. 9

Young Lo Celso

Won the ball on the edge of the Wolves penalty area for Kane’s first shot against the post. Saw his low strike cleared from the line by Coady before Kane’s goal. Lack of quality at times, but he brought a lot of intensity alongside Hojbjerg and he needed a series of games to regain some of his rhythm. 6

Dele Alli

A brilliant performance from the midfielder and he’s been involved in almost everything Spurs have done. He dismissed Kane early in the second period for a shot that was pushed to the left post by the keeper only for Alli to hit the follow-up against the other post. Participated in the preparation of the Hojbjerg goal. It was another promising display outside the Gareth Southgate. 8

Gareth Bale

A few bright moments and he looked sharp every time he faced his man. A free kick was saved early and it was his shot that was parried by Patricio for Hojbjerg to slam the lost ball at home. A much better display than the one on Elland Road and he was always involved. 7

Son Heung-min

Patricio’s forced stop in the first half. A willful runner throughout the game and did a lot of defensive cover to help Reguilon but didn’t offer too much quality in the final third. 6

Harry Kane

Hit the left post with a bouncing shot from outside the box. He then had a header cleared from the line by Coady but got his goal moments after, hooking up Hojbjerg’s pass before clinically finishing. Had a late shot saved by Patricio. Finish at the top of the Premier League scorers chart for at least a few hours. 8

Harry winks

He came to bring fresh legs to the middle of the pitch as the Wolves started to create attacks and he did his job there. 5

Tanguy Ndombele

Went in for the last nine minutes and tried to shake things up. 5

Moussa Sissoko

Substitution of Bale for the last moments of overtime. N / A
