It’s here. It’s finally here.

Chelsea’s biggest and most important game of the season – crossing that out, since that fateful day in Munich – is upon us. The stakes could not be higher. Thomas Tuchel will have to put everything in place against a very strong Manchester City team. There is no margin for error.

The WAGNH community has certainly made firm decisions, but it’s normal for the goalkeeper, with Édouard Mendy (97%) easily ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga (2%) and for training, with the 3-4-3 (69%) well ahead of 3-5-2 (14%) and 4-3-3 (8%).

There was also little doubt about the departure of Antonio Rüdiger, Thiago Silva, César Azpilicueta, Reece James and Ben Chilwell. Whether it’s Azpi or Reece in the back is guessable. Andreas Christensen (37%) came closest to disrupting this quintent, with Kurt Zouma (5%), Marcos Alonso (4%), and Emerson (1%) having to settle for crumbs.

Admittedly, there was also no doubt about the departure of N’Golo Kanté since he led all the non-goalkeepers to the vote, but the choice of his pivot partner was less clear. In a tight race, Mateo Kovačić (51%) edged Jorginho (46%). Billy Gilmour (2%) collected the rest of the votes.

Chelsea Player of the Season Mason Mount is arguably the first name on the roster while Timo Werner and Kai Havertz round out the attacking trio. Christian Pulisic (51%) came close; Hakim Ziyech (16%), Callum Hudson-Odoi (5%), Tammy Abraham (3%) and Olivier Giroud (7%) did not.

3-4-3 (69%)
Mendy (97%) | Rüdiger (97%), Silva (96%), Azpilicueta (74%) | Chilwell (94%), Kovacic (51%), Kanté (97%), James (76%) | Werner (77 %), Havertz (64 %), Mont (96 %)

Although I’ve defended him more often than not in the past, these last few games haven’t shown Jorginho’s best side, so I felt inclined to be okay with letting him down for Kovačić – although he hasn’t exactly covered himself in glory either since his return from injury.

Otherwise, I couldn’t agree more with the community’s programming. I would make the exact same choices. But I desperately want James to bomb the wing again, rather than being in the bottom three. While he did well there, Azpilicueta just doesn’t do it for me as a full back anymore. Get back to normal, please.

Mendy | Rüdiger, Silva, Azpilicueta | Chilwell, Kanté, Kovacic, James | Werner, Havertz, Mont
