Greg James has accused Simon Cowell of missing the signing of Dua Lipa at his company Syco Entertainment.
The DJ, 35, revealed on Tuesday’s edition of the Radio 1 Breakfast Show that the singer, 25, appeared in a commercial for Simon’s X Factor show in 2013, in which she sang a cover of Lost. In Music by Sister Sledge to promote the auditions. .

Dua portrayed an aspiring contestant in the commercial who was seen singing in his backyard while dragging his laundry before going to the X Factor auditions.
Simon was not on the show’s jury in 2013, with Take That’s Gary Barlow taking his place and also appearing in the trailer.
Gary was joined by Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger, and the quartet could be seen at the end of the ad looking excitedly at Dua.
Instead, Simon appeared on the U.S. edition of the show and appeared on the judge’s panel alongside Demi Lovato, Paulina Rubio, and Kelly Rowland.

Sam Bailey won the contest in 2013 with Sharon as a mentor, and Simon returned to the jury in 2014 for the 11th round.
