Their highly anticipated reunion show is just days away.

And the cast of Friends revealed on Good Morning America on Tuesday how emotional it was for them to return to the set of the iconic sitcom, as they recalled their favorite episodes, 17 years after the show ended.

“I don’t think they – the – any of us had a clue how we felt when we got on set,” said Courteney Cox, alongside former co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Lisa. Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt. The White.

“To see it exactly as it was, the – literally other than the cookie jar Lisa took home and the neon coffee Jen had.” Other than that, it was exactly the same. And it was so emotional that we started to cry.

Perry, 51, added, “Bringing this cast together again – I knew it was going to be a really, really emotional experience. And it was.

“The truth is, I didn’t cry when I got on set,” admitted Kudrow, who played Phoebe Buffay. “And now I can’t stop.

“I don’t think they – the – any of us had a clue how emotional we would be when we got on set,” Cox said.

The series ran for 10 seasons, the first of which was in 1994. The last episode, which aired in 2004, broke records with over 50 million viewers.

The cast admitted they were watching reruns, with Cox and Aniston revealing that they recently watched the one where Ross (Schwimmer) and Rachel (Aniston) meet.

“Short and I watched it the other day just to catch up on a few things,” Aniston said.

Happy Memories: Perry, who played Chandler Bing, revealed his favorite episode was The One Where Everybody Finds Out, which was where the gang found out about Chandler and Monica's relationship with some really fun storylines.

`` I loved The One Everyone Finds Out because I had some really fun things to do, '' Kudrow said, in keeping with picking Perry's favorite episode.

“We laughed and cried and – yeah. Their first kiss, Ross and Rachel, was – uh! It was so powerful, ”Cox said.

“Yeah, she was in tears,” Aniston added.

`` I enjoyed doing The One with the Routine, '' Cox said, referring to the New Years Eve episode where Cox's character Monica does a hilarious dance with her brother Ross (Schwimmer).  Kudrow agreed,

From the upcoming special, the stars teased laughs, fun surprises, games, and lots of nostalgia.

“Hopefully the fans will come away with a sense of what it was like for us to have made the show,” said LeBlanc.

The special was due to be released in 2020 but has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“We wanted to do it a year ago to give back to all the fans, especially in the dark times we were all going through. Hopefully, a year later people will still enjoy it and some will be happy, ”Schwimmer added.

The HBO Max special called The One Where They Get Back Together will be available to stream on Thursday, May 27.
