Former NFL star Greg Olsen revealed heartbreaking news about one of his children on Monday.
Olsen has revealed that her 8-year-old son TJ is once again suffering from heart problems and that the family are learning what the next steps are in the process. The FOX Sports broadcaster made the reveal in an Instagram post.

“Last week was an exceptional challenge for our family. As many of you know, our son TJ has faced serious heart problems since he was born. TJ has already had 3 open heart surgeries and survived with a modified heart for his first 8 years. Olsen wrote.
“Unfortunately, it seems his heart is coming to an end. We are currently working through the process to determine our next steps, which could ultimately lead to a heart transplant. “

Olsen said it is not known how long his son will stay in the hospital.
“We don’t know how long we will stay within these hospital walls. We know that we are in full control of our attitudes and perspectives, ”he added.
“TJ has been a fighter since birth. We are going to live this as a family and we will be better off thanks to this experience. “
TJ was born in October 2012 with a rare congenital heart disease known as hypoplastic left heart syndrome. He has had three open heart surgeries in over two years, according to WBTV.

Olsen has been a Pro Bowler three times during his NFL career.
