Announcing today on Twitter, the Tesla boss suggested he would support cryptocurrencies rather than fiat currencies. Mr. Musk was responding to a Twitter follower who said, “Yo Elon, what do you think of the pals who are mad at you over crypto? “
This was in reference to Mr. Musk’s recent contradictory tweets that have brought such volatility to the cryptocurrency markets.
Over a week ago, Mr. Musk tweeted a statement that read, “Tesla has suspended purchases of vehicles using Bitcoin.

However, Mr. Musk has now retracted those earlier statements.
Mr Musk then provided a quick clarification to end speculation that Tesla could get rid of his bitcoin holdings.
He tweeted: “To clarify the speculation, Tesla did not sell any bitcoin. “
In a tweet on Wednesday morning, Mr Musk said Tesla had ‘diamond hands’ suggesting the company he runs would not lose his $ 1.5 billion (£ 1.06 billion) stake in Bitcoin.
The Tesla chief also tweeted, “How much is that Doge in the Window? “
In this tweet, he attached a cryptic image of a US dollar bill that had been manipulated to look like it had a doge coin face on it.
