Director says Khabib turned Mayweather down for $ 100 million, St-Pierre – fr

Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov stays true to his word.
According to his manager Ali Abdelaziz, Nurmagomedov (29-0) remains retired, despite some very lucrative offers that have reached him recently.

In a recent episode of ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, ‘Abdelaziz claimed that Nurmagomedov, since retiring in October, had received a nine-figure offer to fight great boxer Floyd Mayweather. Nurmagomedov refused.

Additionally, Abdelaziz added that UFC President Dana White contacted as recently as last week. According to Abdelaziz, White reported that former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre was eager to fight Nurmagomedov, despite the two men’s retired status.

“Two weeks ago, (or) 10 days ago, Dana White called me,” Abdelaziz said. “He said, ‘Georges St-Pierre, he said he will fight Khabib in an untitled 165-pound fight.’ In a way, we were expecting Georges. I love Georges. He is my friend. I love Georges. … We have been waiting for Georges for four or five years. ‘I arrive. I’m not coming. ‘ … Now (St-Pierre) said, “Hey, Khabib is retired. I am retired. What about coming back and fighting Khabib now?

“But you know, Khabib was offered $ 100 million after his retirement to fight Floyd Mayweather,” Abdelaziz continued. “$ 100 million. $ 100 million. You can ask Floyd. You can ask everyone. Khabib said, “No, I am retired. I told my mom I was retired. I’ll keep my mother’s word. If my mom told me to fight again, maybe I would. But for now, she told me not to fight. “

Taking his client at his word, Abdelaziz indicated that if St-Pierre is looking to come back against an all-time greats, he would have to fight current UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman (19-1 MMA, 14-0 UFC), which he also manages.

“Georges St-Pierre wanted to come back,” said Abdelaziz. “He wanted someone untouchable, right?” That is true. The king pound for pound right now? “The Nigerian Nightmare” Kamaru Usman. This man has never lost a fight in the UFC. (He) was never touched in the UFC. He broke everyone, right? In a way, if he wants to come back and fight someone invincible, hey, they’re the same weight. Return. Georges St-Pierre can come back and fight Kamaru Usman. I will be more than happy. The UFC will be more than happy. It will be a huge fight.

Nurmagomedov and St-Pierre (26-2) have expressed interest in fighting in the past. Ahead of his record-breaking 29-0 win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 last October, Nurmagomedov called St-Pierre the perfect opponent for his 30th fight (and then considered final).

After Nurmagomedov retired, St-Pierre deflected the question of whether he would have accepted the fight if he had been offered and whether Nurmagomedov had not announced his retirement inside the cage.

St-Pierre, 40, hasn’t competed since a single comeback fight against Michael Bisping at UFC 217 in November 2017. The fight was St-Pierre’s first in four years.
