Daniel Amartey accused of ‘disrespect’ for throwing Chelsea pennant to the ground during Leicester’s FA Cup celebrations in dressing room – fr

Daniel Amartey angered some Chelsea fans after throwing the club’s pennant to the ground during Leicester’s dressing room celebrations on Saturday.

The Foxes won their first-ever FA Cup by beating the Blues 1-0 at Wembley with a second-half rocket from Youri Tielemans.

Amartey threw the pennant through the locker room

There were jubilant scenes from everyone involved with the club as fans walked back into the stands, Gary Lineker hopped into the pundits booth and Brendan Rodgers hugged club owner Aiyawatt ‘Top’ Srivaddhanaprabha.

The players lifted the trophy and then returned to the locker room to continue the party.

With some of the team streaming on Instagram Live, the celebrations were available to all fans.

Amartey took the opportunity to jump in front of a camera, pick up the Chelsea pennant exchanged by the captains before kick-off and toss it over his shoulder.

He landed on a pile on the ground.

While rival fans enjoyed the moment very much, Chelsea supporters on social media weren’t impressed with the video.

Some have even suggested that the Blues should use it as motivation for their game against Leicester on Tuesday.

The two clubs meet again on Tuesday night in a close clash that could seriously affect the Champions League prospects on both sides.

As it stands, Leicester are 3rd with 66 points while Chelsea are 4th with 65.

Liverpool leads the race in 5th position with 60 points (plus one match in progress).
