Courteney Cox wants “Friends” fans to know: The photos and videos of the actors hanging out in the famous opening scene fountain weren’t as fun to shoot as they look.
The actor sat down with Ellen DeGeneres this week to discuss a variety of things, including the highly anticipated “Friends” reunion. Cox remained mostly silent on the events of the unscripted reunion, simply sharing that the experience of getting back with the cast after more than a decade and a half was “amazing” and “so moving.”
DeGeneres showed Cox a snapshot of her and her former co-stars from their days on set. The photo featured the six “friends” inside the fountain seen in the show’s opening credits and apparently having a wet but fun time.
DeGeneres joked that the shoot shouldn’t have taken that long and if she had been on set she would have got them in and out of the fountain quickly. Cox then added that while she was filming, she and the rest of the cast were “like, ‘How much longer are we going to pretend we love dancing in the water? But it was fun, but not really.
