Kimberly Hart-Simpson has split from Celebs Go Dating co-star Shane Finlayson after a six-month whirlwind romance.
The Coronation Street actress, 34, took to her Instagram Stories Thursday to break the news in a statement, saying their busy work schedules led to the split.
Kimberly, who played escort Nicky Wheatley on the soap opera, met Shane on the E4 show and officially took to Instagram with him in February.

Her statement read, “After 6 months of dating, Shane and I have decided to go our separate ways. We are proud of our background and we respect each other enormously. The show was the best experience.
“Our trip after this is even better, but with the distance between us, work commitments and restrictions can naturally take their toll. “
Kimberly then thanked the fans for their support since appearing on the dating show and concluded, “Thank you for the love you have given us, it has not been wasted. XX ‘

In the last episode of the series, Kimberly and Shane had previously declared themselves in love with each other.
The soap opera star recently opened up about her Celebs Go Dating experience, calling her stint on the reality show “amazing” because she was able to find a lover.
Sharing a heartfelt post on social media, she wrote: “At the end of the series, I want to say this. It was the most humbling and revealing trip for me.

“I’ve been asking for jobs all my life where I can pretend to be other people. And for once, someone took me to play myself.
“I won’t lie, there were days when I didn’t think I was ‘entertaining enough’, sleeping in a room full of people who are so established in an industry and honestly… I feel like a fraud. After all, I found my television career in a pandemic.
“I have absolutely no experience as a celebrity and even more not quite sure what that is. But the show made me believe in myself.

She continued, “For me it was one of the best experiences of my life. I know how lucky I am right now.
