Cole Caufield will be in the lineup as the Montreal Canadiens put together new lines in the team’s morning practice Monday morning.

Caufield, who missed the team’s first two games, skated with Joel Armia and Nick Suzuki as the team look to generate more offense. He confirmed he will play the game after practice.

Tomas Tatar did not skate on the morning skate, but he will be in the lineup. Eric Staal will be absent. Dominique Ducharme has said he will keep his lines to himself until the time of the match as adjustments will need to be made as Tatar will be for Staal. Ducharme said Staal was not 100%.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi skated with Tyler Toffoli and Brendan Gallagher, and Phillip Danault was with Josh Anderson and Paul Byron. Ben Chiarot skated with Shea Weber as the defensive pairs are also moved. Brett Kulak skated with Jon Merrill.

Jake Evans, who is day to day, has not skated with the team. He missed the second game due to his injury.

The third game will take place at 7 p.m. tonight at the Bell Center.
