Romell Quioto missed a golden chance to open the scoring just before half-time when the Honduran striker and Zachary Brault-Guillard were both on goal. The Canadian winger square in the box, but Quioto couldn’t direct his shot into the wide open net.

However, Quioto made amends in the second half by helping Djordje Mihailovic to score in the 56th minute. Mihailovic entered the final third sending a ball deep for Quioto into space. When his shooting angle closed, Quioto sent a low cross to the middle of the box and Mihailavoic beat the FCC defense to take a 1-0 lead.

But Cincinnati would strike back and find an equalizer via a 70th-minute corner. After Montreal tried to clear the ball safely, Geoff Cameron returned inside the penalty area and Locadia was in the perfect position for a push to the far post that tied the game at 1-1. .

Cincinnati finished their comeback in the 86th minute with another deadball opportunity from Vallecilla’s header, thanks to Ronald Mataritta’s inswinging free kick. The center-back zoomed in on Erik Hurtado’s cover to nod past Clement Diop and give Jaap Stam’s side the victory on the road.
