Camouflage across MLB all weekend for Armed Forces Day 2021 – SportsLogos.Net News – fr

Why are baseball teams wearing camouflage caps this weekend?

Major League Baseball celebrates Armed Forces Day (Saturday May 15, 2021) throughout the weekend (Friday May 14 through Sunday May 16) with these green camouflage caps with a military-inspired side patch. The team logo embroidered on the front is colorized in black and white to match the fabric.

This is the second season that the MLB recognized on Armed Foces Day Weekend with a camouflage cap, which was previously done in 2019. Prior to the 2019 season, camouflage caps and uniforms were worn for Memorial Day weekend.

Let’s take a look at the design:

The side patch features the team’s full name above their league and five stars for all five branches of the military – the Toronto Blue Jays cap instead has four maple leaves for the four we have. here. And yes, it does say “LOS ANGELES” on the Angels cap, which I believe is the first time they’ve recognized their full name on the court since leaving Anaheim.

And, of course, Stance’s camouflage socks:

Major League Baseball will donate its licensed royalties from the sale of Authentic Armed Forces Day Field Collection clothing to MLB charities to support programs for the military, veterans and military families.

Memorial Day will be recognized as a day of solemn mourning, as it should be, with the simple addition of a poppy patch to team jerseys worn only for matches played on Monday, May 31.
