Britney Spears described two recent documentaries about her mental health issues in 2007-08 as “so hypocritical” in a lengthy Instagram post. “They criticize the media and then do the same ?????” she wrote.

In February, the New York Times and Hulu produced Framing Britney Spears, which refocused attention on Spears’ ongoing guardianship and the #FreeBritney movement that believes the arrangement traps her against its will.

On Saturday, the BBC presented Mobeen Azhar’s documentary The Battle for Britney: Fans, Cash and a Conservatorship. Spears appeared to approach this film directly: One of his sources is makeup artist Billy Brasfield, who claims to be in contact with Spears. “I’m not really talking to Billy B AT ALL, so I’m honestly very confused,” she wrote.

Spears denounced the unwavering focus on “the most negative and traumatic times” of his life over a decade ago. “I am delighted to remind you that although I have had some pretty difficult times in my life… I have had more incredible times in my life and unfortunately my friends… I think the world is more interested in the negative! !!! “

On June 23, Spears will deliver a rare speech in a Los Angeles court on the issue of his guardianship. She demands that her father, Jamie Spears, be completely removed from her leadership. Her lawyers said she was “afraid of her father” and would not resume her career as long as he was in control of her.

We don’t know what Spears wants to discuss. She hasn’t been interviewed at length on the subject since a 2008 MTV documentary. Neither the NYT nor the BBC have been able to access Spears or his inner circle.

Although she often speaks to fans on Instagram – saying recently that the New York Times movie left her so embarrassed, she cried for two weeks – her voice is likely to bring some clarity to a situation. in which speculation and conspiracy flourished in the void.

Spears’ Instagram caption accompanied footage of her dancing to the music of French artist Indila. “Hope you all live your best lives and damn it or like @parishilton would say SLIVING !!! … I know I am !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ” she wrote.
