Bret Hart considers Ric Flair a friend and wants to make sure the two stay that way.
The Calgary wrestling legend took matters into his own hands after Flair did an impromptu interview with Conrad Thompson in which he spoke about Hart’s outspokenness on certain topics, regarding WWE and even aspects referring to Nature. Boy himself. Bret took to social media Thursday night to express how old those comments were and noted that he had contacted Ric to make sure there was no rift between the two.
“I know my comments can be unpopular at times or at the very least generate debate in the wrestling world, but it became apparent to me that someone says I did an interview with them recently, but using old quotes from my past. Bret said on Twitter. “I very, very rarely do wrestling podcasts and am aware of the interviews I have done since the start of the pandemic. Anyone who announces that I did their podcast recently is outright lying. For the record, I contacted Ric and we cleared up.
Hart then reiterates how much he appreciates Flair’s friendship.
“I consider Ric a friend of mine and, given that I have very few friends left in the company, I want this to continue.
As noted in his Tweets, Bret has been very selective with interviews over the past couple of years and some of the comments Flair has spoken of (like the one he made about Roman Reigns) go back years.
