Booker T recalls Ultimate Warrior asking to help train him for his comeback – fr

Booker T recalled his experience with the Ultimate Warrior, asking him to help train him for his comeback in the late 2000s. Booker discussed the story in a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, explaining how the late WWE Hall of Famer wanted to get in ring shape for his comeback show in Australia. You can check out some highlights below, from Wrestling Inc:

On his experience with Warrior: “I was with the Ultimate Warrior for sure. I didn’t really know him personally, but I was there when the Ultimate Warrior wanted to make a comeback (in the 2000s). 2008, 09 and he was going to come back to do a show in Australia. He actually wanted me to help him, to get him in shape for this game. I was pretty excited that the Ultimate Warrior got in touch with me to get him in shape for this game.

On Warrior asking him for help: “So I would get together to finally talk to him about it.” He’s going, it’s pretty funny, he says’ Hey man. I will come and train with you. How about I go down Thursday? And the point is, I’m the only one who pretty much knows the story, so I can’t confirm it or anything like that. It’s not a bad story. But he said, “Why don’t I go down Thursday and train with you, start preparing for this game?” I’ll get off, probably land at 12, get there around 2, train around 4, and take a flight around 6. in more than ten years!

By refusing the request: “I said to him ‘brother, I’m sorry, but I can’t do anything in just two hours.’ I said “it’s going to take a little longer than that to work with you, to prepare. I think he was closer to California, so he went to work with RVD for this game. I watched the game and they worked for a little while in that game and it looked like his cardio was there so it sounded like anything. Whatever Rob has done, Rob sometimes does things from a wizard’s point of view. If that doesn’t work, we can try that. It might be a little unorthodox, but it will get you there.
