The big and daring new French tourist campaign, recently announced by the tourism development agency Atout France, draws on this repressed desire to travel.
France is expected to reopen to international tourism from June 9, welcoming fully vaccinated international travelers, including Americans and other third-country nationals. To coincide with this good news, Atout France launches the € 10 million campaign to encourage European tourists to come to France and rediscover What really matters!
Before the pandemic, France was the most visited tourist destination in the world. But tourism has been decimated by the health crisis in the world; International arrivals in France fell 74% last year compared to 2019, according to the WTO. The health measures put in place to contain the Covid-19 pandemic have had a huge impact on the global economy, with tourism being one of the most affected sectors.
Now, with vaccination campaigns rapidly improving the health situation, France is preparing to roll out the red carpet again for its tourists. New # ExploreFrance – What really matters The tourism campaign aims to position France as the ideal destination for European tourists who, before the pandemic, represented more than 75% of international visitors and should represent more than 85% in 2021. The sectors to highlight are slow tourism , the great outdoors, culture and heritage and way of life. For more information, watch the video below.
