Hey, check this out: things over at Saturday Night Live are not totally inexplicably stupid, and it is always possible to find hosts that are not anti-union billionaires! Lorne Michaels just had to be open to inviting guests from SNLThe company’s biggest competitor – although it’s only a “competitor” in the sense that a guy selling burgers on the street is competing with McDonald’s. In short, we are talking about Crazy TV, with old Crazy TV Actor Keegan-Michael Key (who apparently went on to do a more publicized sketch comedy series afterward) was named host of the show’s next episode on May 15 alongside musical guest Olivia Rodrigo. The key will not be the first Crazy TVuh to appear on SNL (Taran Killam was a cast member on both!), But it’s still a positive development for anyone who’s still clinging to some sort of Crazy TV/SNL rivalry.
Le 22 mai, SNL will bring in Anya Taylor-Joy and her musical guest Lil Nas X. Taylor-Joy probably never appeared on Crazy TV, as she would have been about 13 years old at the start, but she was The new mutants and it was worse than any given episode of Crazy TV (which was a beautiful show, let’s be fair here). It must count for something. As for Lil Nas X, he’s probably big enough at this point that he can do double duty as host and musical guest, isn’t he? In fact, he might be big enough that he could just host his own show. Who controls the rights of Crazy TV these days? Lil Nas X, Will Sasso, Michael McDonald and Nicole Sullivan. We would watch that.
