Joshua and Fury’s fight will take place on August 14 in Saudi Arabia and has been described by Hearn as “a deal done” although it has yet to be officially confirmed by both sides.
But Joshua’s promoter insists the focus is now on building a whole new place to stage this historic fight.
“They want to build a new stadium,” Hearn said Sky Sports on hosts in Saudi Arabia. “They have options inside.
“In August at 11 pm, it will be around 23 degrees.
“They want to create something very, very special. Last time around, they built a stadium for Andy Ruiz Jr.’s fight in just seven weeks and he held 18,000.
“It will be a similar setup.
“They have the opportunity to hold it inside but they want to create something that will shock the world. They want to build a stadium just for this fight. “
The conclusion of the Olympics on August 7 means Joshua’s coach Rob McCracken, who also coaches Team GB’s boxing team, will avoid a conflict of interest.
The religious celebration of Eid in Saudi Arabia is the only reason Fury’s team have yet to receive full financial documents from the hosts, Hearn says.
Joshua’s IBF, WBA and WBO belts and Fury’s WBC title will all be on the line to decide the No.1 in the division.
Joshua made a pointed note via social media to Fury this week, calling for the fight to be finalized.
Fury replied, “Are you ready for a war? Work hard to give fans a big knockout! “
Hearn has now insisted, “You’ll get a different AJ in this build.
“He’s excited because he’s never really been, other than Dillian Whyte’s fight, in a trash-talk environment.
“He will take advantage of it.
“AJ has a bit between his teeth, which spurred him on a bit.
“I’m sure these two DMs each other, stimulating each other. I get DMs from Fury – sometimes pleasant, sometimes unpleasant!
“When the announcement comes in and the press conferences start, the jokes will go away and it will become personal.
“It doesn’t matter who respects who. Both teams are desperate to win because that’s it.
“There is no fun and games. It is “them and us”.
“AJ will go to war with Fury. He has plans to absolutely demolish it. That’s what I believe he will do.
“In the meantime, we’ll go through the setup, which will be a lot of fun, ahead of the biggest event of 2021.”
