Ant McPartlin apologizes as Alex Jones calls him over cameraman misstep – fr

Ant McPartlin was forced to apologize after Alex Jones corrected the star for his use of the term “cameraman”.
The 45-year-old TV presenter and his co-star Declan Donnelly appeared on The One Show when asked about other media professions they would like to try.

Ant admitted he was very keen on getting behind the camera, but continued to refer to crew members as cameramen despite the presence of female cameramen on set.

After Alex reported the misstep, Ant quickly apologized and corrected himself.

It was almost the end of the series, when the Britain’s Got Talent duo opened up about their dream TV roles.

“I’ve always wanted to be a cameraman,” Ant said, before turning off the set and asking the crew, “Is that as beautiful as it sounds? “

” It is [the cameraman] have the time of his life there, ”added Dec.

Dec then suggested that he would think himself more like the director and that he could direct his co-star while he filmed the series.

“You’re the cameraman and I’ll direct you,” Dec joked.

Alex Jones corrected the star and pointed out that there was also an operator camera in the studios.

Following the exchange, Alex then pointed out to the comedy duo that there was a cameraman in the studio as well.

“We have to point out that we have Hayley here in front of the camera, a cameraman,” she said.

“Yes exactly, cameraman, my bad,” Ant replied.

Despite their apologies, some viewers took to social media to share their thoughts on the gender error.

“Disappointing that it seems only men can operate the cameras! I know it’s an old term and it flows easily, but surely someone should have corrected it, ”one viewer wrote.

On the contrary, another argued, “God forbid that we forget about the ‘camera woman’ who probably doesn’t care to be offended. Yeah. Dec would also like to be a female camera. “

The popular TV duo appeared on The One Show to discuss their new program Ant & Dec’s Making it in Media.
