Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza are set to reprise their team for another indie comedy titled Spin Me Round, by deadline. The film will be directed by Jeff Baena from a script co-written by Baena and Brie. Brie will play a manager of an Italian restaurant in Bakersfield, Calif. Who will win a trip to Florence, Italy. Given the chance to meet the owner of the restaurant chain, the expedition takes an unexpected direction when it finds itself with a group of other U.S. franchise managers.Alessandro Nivola will play the owner of the company, with Molly Shannon and Lil Rel Howery also attached for the lead roles. The cast will also include Fred Armisen, Tim Heidecker, Ayden Mayeri, Ego Nwodim, Jake Picking, Debby Ryan, Ben Sinclair, Lauren Weedman and Zach Woods. Brie and Plaza last teamed up on the 2017 medieval comedy The Small Hours. , which Baena also directed. Most recently, Brie starred in the Netflix original Horse Girl, which she co-wrote and produced with Baena, and played a supporting role in the promising young woman nominated for Best Picture. Meanwhile, Plaza starred in films like the romantic comedy Happiest Season, Black Bear, and the Child’s Play reboot in 2019.
