A look at NFL players who changed their uniform numbers this offseason – SportsLogos.Net News – fr

In April, NFL owners approved a proposal that will allow running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, linebackers and defensive backs to wear a wider range of uniform numbers in the future.

Since then, dozens of players have made the decision to ditch their old number in favor of a new one, often reverting to what they wore in college or high school. Others chose a whole new number.

League rules state that any player wishing to change numbers for the upcoming season must redeem existing jersey and t-shirt inventory from league distributors. In some cases, players pay between the middle and top six digits to change their number, although it doesn’t cost anything if they had waited another year.

That said, we’ve compiled a list of players who changed numbers this offseason, along with their previous numbers for comparison. It should be noted that this list only notes players who benefit from the rule change and not those who simply switch to a number that was otherwise allowed.
