British Columbia health officials reported 411 new cases of COVID-19 today, including 69 within Interior Health, for a total of 140,075 since the start of the pandemic.

There are 4,890 active cases, with 360 people hospitalized for COVID-19. Of these 127 people are in intensive care.

There were also two new deaths linked to COVID-19, bringing the death toll from COVID to 1,650.

To date, on May 18, 2,566,936 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in British Columbia, of which 131,837 are second doses.

“The more people who get vaccinated, the safer we are, which is why we want to beat vaccination records in our province.
