The Borussia Dortmund forward’s next club are set to be the summer transfer saga after establishing himself as Europe’s most wanted player after a strong season in Germany.
Haaland has scored 49 goals in just 49 games for Dortmund, which has sparked interest from top European clubs ahead of the transfer window opening.
Norwegian representatives Mino Raiola and Father Alf-Inge traveled to Barcelona and Real Madrid on Thursday to discuss a possible transfer.
MEN Sport understand that Manchester City are also among the clubs keen to sign Haaland, but Guardiola declined to say if the Blues are interested.
“You understand I’m not going to talk about names, other players from other clubs,” Guardiola said at his press conference ahead of Leicester City. “It would not be polite for Borussia Dortmund and for Haaland. Absolutely, it’s none of my business.
“I have two months with these players that we have here, deserve as much respect from their coach to talk about another player when we are two months ahead, important months with what we have done up to present.
“So if I’m a player and the manager talks about the other players I would say ‘what are you doing? “.
“We are here to do what we need to do now. I never comment, never in five years I speak of another player from another club. Never never. ”
City are set to sign a new striker this summer, with Haaland being the perfect target, as record scorer Sergio Aguero leaves the club.
Still, Guardiola threw cold water on the suggestion and doesn’t think a single one will happen.
“With the prices, we won’t buy any strikers, it’s impossible, we can’t afford it. It’s impossible. No, no, ”Guardiola said. “All the clubs in financial difficulty, we are not an exception. We have Gabriel [Jesus], Ferran [Torres] which has been amazing in this position, we have young players in the academy, we play several times with a false-9.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen. Maybe we’ll buy, but maybe we won’t buy a forward for next season. Today, we are more likely to buy none. striker for next season. ”
