Tristan Thompson has opened up about his battle with Covid-19, after suffering for weeks with the virus.
The 30-year-old NBA star, who now plays for the Boston Celtics, said having coronavirus was “no joke” after spending about a month battling the virus before returning to the basketball court Thursday.

The Kardashians have previously said they take protecting their families very seriously with reports asking visitors to take a rapid coronavirus test before entering their homes.

There were reportedly concerns after Khloe Kardashian’s on / off boyfriend, 36, contracted the virus.

Khloe and Tristan have grown closer in recent months as their co-parenting with daughter True Thompson saw them reconnect during the pandemic.

Khloe had spent time with Tristan in Boston during the winter after moving there to play for the Celtics.

She has been returning to her California home in recent weeks, which likely means she missed spending time with Tristan after they appeared to rekindle their romance during the lockdown.

Speaking to reporters after returning to court for the first time in 24 days, Tristan said: “When I had COVID, I had a few of all the symptoms.

“I wasn’t one of the lucky ones to have no symptoms. I was in a 12 round battle with this joker. But I won. I am here now. “

Tristan said he suffered no loss of taste or smell, but said he had everything the coronavirus could throw at him.

He added that he would look to get a Covid-19 vaccine as soon as he gets one.

Tristan added, “I can enjoy my food but that shit wasn’t a joke. So, I will definitely get the vaccine when I am eligible to get it. “

His NBA teammate Jaylen Brown said Tristan was important to the Celtics and commented on his comeback after illness.

Jaylen said, “Tristan, he just added to the combat, to the physicality. We knew today was going to be a struggle. We knew they were physical and we didn’t want to lose the fight. We had to win the fight tonight. and Tristan led us to that department. ”
