“We are both very independent people who run our own ships. And sometimes when two people are driving two big ships it can be difficult, ”said Yearwood, while promoting his new line of pet collecting.

She added that being quarantined with her husband all the time during the COVID-19 pandemic didn’t present much of a problem except that they couldn’t go anywhere.

“Before this last year, we were together all the time. I mean, we’re really a couple who got married to be together, so we don’t spend a lot of time apart anyway. So it wasn’t a huge change, but it was enough that there really wasn’t anywhere to go, ”she added.

The singer added that they both had to figure out how they could both remain “alphas” and “run their own lives” while still being a couple.

“It’s a balance where sometimes one person runs the ship and sometimes the other person, and sometimes you’re going to hit your head,” she added.

Brooks also said in an interview with Ellen in March that they spent their time in quarantine tackling issues that have really bothered them for the past 15 years.

“The treats all contain human grade ingredients, things that aren’t weird that you know what they were,” she said.

“But then, for things like beds, backpacks, and beds, I needed them to look pretty, but I wanted to be able to go in the washing machine because my dogs are indoor dogs and outside, ”she added.

“They come to the farm, they get dirty, they roll around in stuff,” Yearwood continued.
