Tom Cruise has just seen three of his next films postponed by the latest reshuffle of the ongoing pandemic release schedule.

His next Top Gun movie: Maverick was set to hit theaters on July 2 of this year, but has now been pushed back to November 19, Deadline reports.

However, November 19 was previously supposed to be the release date for the seventh film Mission: Impossible, so this film and its sequel have to be pushed back.

Paramount has set new release dates for 10 films in all, including the Top Gun sequel and the two upcoming Mission: Impossible films.

Top Gun: Maverick had to endure a series of postponements even before the coronavirus pandemic.

Its original release date was July 2019, then it was pushed back to summer 2020. Then the lockdown required it to be postponed to two days before last Christmas.

As 2020 wore on, even a winter release seemed unfeasible for a variety of reasons, including schedule changes for other films.
