He has had a new, healthier appearance in recent months since moving to Normandy, France with girlfriend Katia de Vidas.

And Pete Doherty continued to radically transform his image, as he sported a thick gray beard and disheveled hair on a Zoom call.

The Libertines frontman, 42, was chatting with Trampolene frontman Jack Jones in a video he posted to his Instagram page on Tuesday night.

Pete has sported a fuller physique lately, following his drug-fueled heyday as the former frontman of rock band Babyshambles.

However, the rocker has now added a beard and mustache to his look and debuted the new style during the video call.

During the video, Pete popped up the picture of relaxation as he chatted happily with Jack and sipped a pint of beer that was next to him.

He shared the clip with his 121,000 subscribers and captioned it, “Peter browsing the lines of Gotta Do More Gotta Be More with @trampolene_band now available on @straporiginals. ”

Former rocker Pete generally enjoys a much slower pace of life these days and is said to have played the sport of boules, pétanque.

The Libertines frontman, 42, recently attributed his healthy new appearance to sleep, eating French cheese and drinking water after moving to Normandy.

Pete is believed to have joined their club’s premises for a French sports match, which involves throwing metal balls as close to a target as possible.

The once troubled star, who lives with girlfriend Katia de Vidas, has quit heroin and ketamine, but revealed he still enjoys making a cocktail.

A local told The Sun: “Peter is no longer a bad boy. He relaxes, settles down and enjoys the finer things in life.

“We introduced him to pétanque and he fell in love with the game. He often joins our club nights when we play.

Mikael Grondin, who runs the bakery, said: “He’s always looking for a bag of Bout de Choux (creamy little cabbage), which is a pastry filled with cream. Maybe that’s why he put on the weight, but don’t worry, it will be good for him.

It comes after Pete revealed his new healthy look was due to his love of cheese on toast and his “guilty pleasure” was sleeping after he was up for “six days.”

The Babyshambles frontman was recently seen relaxed and happy on a walk with his girlfriend Katia De Vidas in Étretat in Normandy, where they live.

In a recent interview, Pete admitted that he is now “clean enough” and appreciates a “good glass of water”.

The previously gaunt rocker painted a portrait of his then-girlfriend Kate Moss in his blood and was kicked out of rehab for “not trying hard enough” to get rid of his heroin habit.

He told the Sun about his new lifestyle: “I love the Shire. [a type of French cheese], Comté on toast. My guilty pleasure is sleeping.

“For years and years, I would stay awake for five or six days, then sleep for 24 hours, so now I love to sleep. At the moment, I am quite clean. I stopped taking heroin and ketamine.

He added: “I like to experiment, make cocktails with champagne, a little rum, orange juice, I fall like an alcoholic, but I’m not – I like a good glass of water. ”

Pete’s The rock and roll bad boy image won him an army of fans, including the world’s most famous model, who hung his arm as they moved from party to party.

But these days, Pete only enjoys a genteel stroll through the French countryside with his dog.

Peter has a teenage son, Astile, from his relationship with Lisa Moorish and a daughter, Aisling, from his romance with model Lindi Hingston.

While his most famous relationship was with Kate, he also had an affair with her friend Amy Winehouse and a date with the late Big Brother Seven roommate Nikki Grahame.

While on a promotional track in 2019 with his latest music offering, he was forced to retire from a radio appearance after his finger was infected with a hedgehog.

He had attempted to save the animal from his Siberian Huskies while on a dog walk.

The Libertines bought a hotel in Margate, which Pete admitted was “saving him” because he had a roof over his head and didn’t have to worry about the rent.

Last year the leader was charged with driving while disqualified after being pulled over by police in the early hours of the morning while riding an electric motorcycle in Margate, Kent.

Pete was previously disqualified for six months in October 2019 after being caught speeding four times in three weeks.

On that occasion, at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court, he was ordered to pay £ 9,228 and he was heard for having mumbled ‘ouch’ to the fine.

And in November 2019, Doherty was fined £ 8,500 and given a three-month suspended prison sentence for ‘violence while intoxicated’ after being arrested in Paris twice in a week.

He had been detained in the Pigalle district for buying cocaine before arguing with two passers-by which led to his eventual re-arrest.

Doherty is a frequent visitor to Paris and often spends long periods of time living and performing in the French capital.

He rose to fame in the mid-2000s and was arrested several times for drug offenses.

Pete’s turbulent relationship with Kate ended in 2007, months after revealing he proposed to her.

In the past, he has pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, heroin, cannabis and ketamine.

In 2012, he was kicked out of a luxury rehabilitation clinic in Thailand after claiming he was a bad influence on other patients and did not put in enough effort to get rid of his habit of heroin.
