Detective Inspector Jim Edmonds said the scene and the baby were treated “with the utmost care and dignity today”.

When he appealed to find the mother, he said: “Although we don’t yet know what happened, what we do know is that there must be a mother who really has. Need help? And she is my top priority at the moment. ”
