Line of Duty star Adrian Dunbar teased that there was “a really big clue” already to Kate Fleming’s fate.
The final episode of the hit BBC crime drama ended Sunday night on an epic cliffhanger, as viewers wondered if Kate (Vicky McClure) would be killed.

Susanna Reid and Adil Ray were keen to discuss the series by inviting Adrian Dunbar to the Good Morning Britain studio on Monday.

Questioning Adrian about Kate’s fate, Susanna was eager to try and get even a snippet of information from the 62-year-old actor – who plays the superintendent. Ted Hastings.

“Yeah that’s another great cliffhanger, Jed likes his cliffhangers, yeah a really good one,” Adrian said, before Susanna asked about Kate.

” We do not know yet. Yeah, I know, and a lot of Line of Duty fans know that, ”Adrian teased. “A lot of Line of Duty fans know what’s going on. “

Looking shocked, Susanna replied, “Oh no, I feel like you are giving us some really heavy information that I cannot for the life of me determine what you are talking about!” “

As Adil asked him if he was referring to a clue, Adrain added, “Everything will be revealed in time. Yes, there was a really big clue. This is the scoop!

“I’m giving you a huge scoop, there is a clue as to what will happen next,” commented the North Irish star. “And Line of Duty fans know that. “

“But we are Line of Duty fans! Susanna replied, to which Adrian said sarcastically, “I know you are but we have the hardcore and we have the core.” “

He continued, “We are all excited to see how it plays out over the next few days. “

Perhaps Adrian was referring to a photo, which fans believe is proof that Kate will live to fight AC-12 another day.

The image shows an interrogation scene yet to be seen and sees actress Vicky wearing a striking blue top that was shared on social media by Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio in September.

Asked about the potential of another series, Adrain was rather cautious and admitted he had “no idea”.

“I think if the numbers are right and the BBC is happy I’m sure they’ll want to do another series,” Adrian teased.

Line of Duty continues Sunday at 9 p.m. on BBC One.
