Kanye West has responded to ex-wife Kim Kardashians’ Feb. 19 divorce petition, seeking joint custody of their four children.
The rapper’s / fashion designer’s filings are virtually the same as his ex-reality TV star’s, according to TMZ, with West seeking joint legal and physical custody of North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three and Psalm, almost two.
Shared custody wouldn’t necessarily mean a 50/50 arrangement, with Kim, 40, likely to be their primary caretaker.

In the future, the couple will almost certainly come to an arrangement that will be approved by the court.
As previously stated, the couple are committed to co-parenting.
Neither Kanye, 43, nor Kim – both Forbes billionaires – will seek spousal support. The two agreed to pay their own legal fees.
A deal is already in place, likely providing a solid framework for how the pair will divide their assets.

Interestingly, neither party put a separation date in their documents.
Kardashian has hired Laura Wasser, Hollywood’s top divorce lawyer, who is said to have inspired Laura Dern’s Oscar-winning role in Marriage Story.
The lawyer also represented her at the end of her second marriage to husband Kris Humphries, which lasted just 72 days. Previously, the star was married to producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004.
Selon TMZ, Kim can hang on to the Hidden Hills family home so as not to uproot the children.
