Jake Paul only needed 60 seconds to take out Ben Askren and extend his unbeaten record.
After stepping into the ring with a giant robot, Paul had little trouble dealing with Askren’s tricks and mechanics.

The social media star landed a brace that left Askren down on the web.

He managed to beat the count and the referee seemed ready to allow him to continue before leaving the fight.

“I told you I was going to do it in the first round,” said Paul. “I told you everything that I am a real fighter. I don’t know how many times I have to prove to myself that this is for real. “

Paul was fighting for the third time as a professional after knocking out first fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib and then former NBA star Nate Robinson.

After calling Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz, Paul finally chose Askren who was making his boxing debut.

The 36-year-old was a former mixed martial arts champion at Bellator before a short and unsuccessful stint in the UFC.

Askren retired in 2019 after his loss to Demian Maia and went on to undergo hip surgery, returning to the gym to prepare for Paul.

But his limp appearance at Friday’s weigh-in raised eyebrows and he began the fight as a steadfast underdog before Paul justified his favoritism.

On the under-card, former world champion Regis Prograis took a bizarre decision victory over Ivan Redkach when the fight was stopped in the sixth round when Redkach fell complaining of an illegal blow.

He couldn’t recover and the fight went to the judges who nodded to Prograis by scores of 60-54, 60-54 and 59-54.

Former world heavyweight champion Steve Cunningham, who last fought in 2017, edged former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir over six rounds.

Two of the judges gave the former boxer, who replaced Antonio Tarver on short notice, the six rounds while the other scored the fight 58-56.

Self-proclaimed billionaire nightclub owner Joe Fournier has arrested Colombian reggaeton musician Reykon who failed to get off his stool for the third round after being dropped twice.

The fight was agreed to following an argument over a girl in a Miami night spot and Fournier, who had eight professional wins to his name, made sure he wasn’t embarrassed by the newbie.

He said of the arrival: ” It just came out naturally. I wanted four or five laps to recover honestly. Everyone knows, I would love Jake Paul afterwards.
