Kate Garraway has revealed an emotional moment between her daughter and husband Derek Draper after returning from hospital.

Last Wednesday, Derek – who is the most suffering patient from Covid-19 in the UK – finally returned home in an ambulance more than a year after his contract. coronavirus and March 2020.

Now he will continue his recovery at home with 24 hour care, reports Mirror Online.

In Kate’s documentary Finding Derek, in which the TV star appeared last month, the presenter revealed that her home needs to be completely remodeled to help Derek recover.

She had installed a wheelchair lift and also had to undergo a huge clearance in order to create a downstairs bedroom among the many modifications to her home.

This week, Kate spoke of a “crushing” first weekend with Derek back home.

Speaking to Susanna Reid on GMB, Kate explained that she was able to go to work because a caregiver was at home looking after Derek.

“We have to gradually make everything work,” Kate said on the show.

Derek has now been able to begin reconnecting with his children, Darcy, 15, and William, 11.
