Iggy Azalea was shaken after her explicit music video for new single Sip It failed to make it into YouTube’s most popular videos.

The Australian rapper slammed the video streaming website on Twitter this week, saying her livelihood was affected as a freelance artist.

“So YouTube won’t recommend my video or add it to trending because of the ‘content of the video,’ she tweeted.

“I’ve waited 48 hours and still can’t get an actual response from anyone on YouTube as to why they have much more controversial videos on their trending list as we speak. “

She continued, “I’m really disappointed because I’m independent and dependent on things like that for streaming.

“I sent my video to their staff a week before and they told me it was perfect, no problem. “

After living for several years in Florida and Los Angeles, Iggy now resides permanently in Atlanta.

In September 2018, Iggy said she would not be touring Down Under because it is too difficult to make a profit there.

Responding to a fan on Twitter, she wrote: “It’s hard to honestly enjoy it’s far away, and should be part of a bigger group of shows in Asia etc.

Speaking to the Herald Sun in January 2016, Iggy said she was happy to no longer live in Australia.

“I mean, to be honest with you, my home is in America,” she said. ‘It’s great to come back [to Australia] and visit my grandparents, but there is no connection to the house.
