A mixed martial artist competing at Cage Fury Fighting Championships 94 (CFFC) appeared to lose his finger in a fight on Thursday night.
Khetag Pliev, an Olympic wrestler for Canada in 2012, faced Devin Goodale and as Pliev was busy between the second and third rounds, his corner noticed something was wrong, according to CBS Sports. Pliev discovered that his right ring finger was not where he had left it.

Goodale was declared the winner, but noted he was unsure how Pliev possibly lost his finger.
“I don’t remember anything, I don’t know,” Goodale said. “I was hit by something big, I don’t remember what happened. I’m just being honest. I don’t remember what happened. I’m going to have to watch the tape myself, I don’t remember anything.

According to TSN, an announcement was made on the sound system asking people on the scene to be on the lookout.

CM Punk, a former WWE wrestler who spent about 15 minutes in the UFC, was on the show and couldn’t believe it.
“I don’t understand exactly what happened,” Punk said, via CBS Sports. “We’re not going to replay it for you ladies and gentlemen, but it wasn’t a compound split. It wasn’t a dislocation, a rupture, a laceration. His finger was just gone. He left. He fell, scammed. ”
CFFC President Rob Haydak said on the show that Pliev’s finger was found in his glove and he was taken to hospital to put it back on.

ESPN reporter Marc Raimondi shared a picture of Pliev after re-gluing his finger.
“Everything is fine,” said the fighter.
