We have been waiting for this day for a long time. A long moment. Finally, we have a visual confirmation of what we could only dream of and joke about for years: it really looks like the Fast and furious the franchise will launch a car in the space.

The latest trailer for F9, the ninth film in the Fast and Furious saga, gives us director Justin Lin at his best, returning after a few movies – and he’s set to end the high-flying action-packed mega franchise with a some final films. The first was originally scheduled to open in May of last year and will now open on June 25. Probably. Perhaps. You know how that go to this point.

As you can see the gang is back, originals like Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster, plus later additions like Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Charlize Theronand Helen Mirren. Join the cast for F9 is John Cena as the long brother of Dom and Sung Kang – currently out Star wars galaxy for the Obi Wan Kenobi spectacle– finds justice as the resurrected character Han Lue (aka Han Seoul-Oh).

On top of all this, what goes on in the plot is still unclear. A sort of team between Cipher (Theron) and Jakob (Cena) that attracts Dom and the family. But it’s as big as it gets, with lots of magnets, a caterpillar-like mega convoy, a Han sniper rifle and, of course, Tej and Roman with rockets., helmets aiming for the sky. They will go out of the atmosphere for sure. (You saw the spaceship toy early as foreshadowing, right?)

What if you think, “Wait, really? Space? When Fast and furious movies become science fiction? ” Do not forget this Hobbs and Shaw, a spinoff from the franchise, introduced a super improved villain played by Idris Elda. Space was the only next logical step. Well, if this car does it in one piece, that’s good.
