Earlier this week, Lucasfilm announced that the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney + show would begin filming in April. Ewan McGregor, who turned 50 today, will reprise his Jedi Knight opposite Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader – a decade after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. But aside from this exciting news, a report now claims McGregor will be featured on another upcoming Star Wars Disney + show as well.
The 2022 Star Wars show follows the adventures of Cassian Andor five years before her death in Rogue One, during the formative years of the rebellion.
Diego Luna plays the main characters with Genevieve O’Reilly reprising Mon Mothma after starring in Episode III and Rogue One.
19 years ago between Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope, in which Sir Alec Guinness first played Obi-Wan.

As for the role his exiled Jedi could play, the outlet points out that he had a close relationship with Senator Bail Organa and therefore could be a key contributor to Rebellion Intelligence.
Princess Leia’s adoptive father was played by Jimmy Smits in Episode II: Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will star Moses Ingram Joel Edgerton, Kumail Nanjiani and Rupert Friend.
Plus Indira Varma, Bonnie Piesse, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.
The official synopsis reads: “The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin. Skywalker became the Devil Lord Sith Darth Vader. ”
Speaking to Empire, he said, “I’m more excited about doing this one than doing the second and third that we’ve done before.
“I’m just excited to be working with Deborah Chow, and the scripts are going to be really good, I think. I’m just excited to play it again. It’s been quite a while since I played it before.
