Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi made a multi-million dollar profit from the sale of their Beverly Hills mansion – but not as much as they wanted.
The 63-year-old star and his actress wife sold the 10,000-square-foot space for “around $ 47 million,” according to the Wall Street Journal on Monday.
In March, the talk show host listed the estate through luxury real estate agent Kurt Rappaport for a little more – $ 53.5 million – two years after he bought it from Adam Levine of The Voice.

The identity of the lucky buyer of the spectacular property is currently kept under wraps.
Ellen and Portia could have celebrated their big sale (and $ 2 million in profits) when they were spotted on a rare night out in Montecito on Sunday.
According to the Westside real estate agency, where the house was listed, Ellen and Portia have “completely renovated” the breathtaking house in 2020.

Ellen and Portia bought the property from Adam Levine and his model wife Behati Prinsloo just two years ago for $ 45 million.
The vocal coach himself reportedly got the property a year earlier, in March 2018, from Will and Grace creator Max Mutchnick for $ 35.5 million.
Adam and Behati then bought Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s former home in the Pacific Palisades for $ 32 million, with Rappaport also representing the musician.
The luxury home hot potato is very common in Los Angeles and, in particular, Ellen and Portia have made a turnaround hobby of high-end real estate.

Ellen has reportedly lost a million viewers to reports of a toxic workplace culture behind the scenes on her daytime show.
DeGeneres got off to a strong audience start last fall in her 18th season debut when she tackled the scandal, but has seen a rapid decline in the months since.
“I’ve learned that things are going on here that should never have happened,” she said in her first season. “I take this very seriously. And I want to say that I am very sorry for the people who were affected.
“I know I’m in a position of privilege and power, and I realize that comes with responsibility. I take responsibility for what happens on my show. ”
