Back in early 2018, shortly after his film The disaster artist, which he directed and starred in, arrived in theaters –James Franco was accused by five women, alleging that sexually inappropriate behavior had taken place at her now closed Studio 4 theater school. Franco finally settled a costume with two of these women, whose charges included a variety of irregularities related to the school’s handling of sexually explicit labor. But this latest incident was just the latest in a long line of allegations that have been made against Franco over the years, most notably the 2014 incident in which he admitted to having inviting a 17-year-old to join him in a hotel room via Instagram.

Now actress Charlyne Yi spoke about his own experiences with Franco, and more specifically his efforts to stop The disaster artist after learning of the allegations against him. In an Instagram post posted earlier today, Yi calls not only Franco, but also specifically Seth Rogen, a producer of the film, saying that after expressing concerns about her work with Franco, she was offered a larger role in the film as a “bribe” to keep her involved. Yi states that when she raised concerns about the actor / director, “They played down and said Franco was such a predator last year, and he changed… when I literally heard of him abusing new women that week.

Noting that April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, Yi placed particular emphasis on calling for “facilitators,” stating that they are “just as toxic and abusive” and writing that “Seth Rogen was one of the producers of this film. he certainly knows about the bribe and why I quit. So far, no one involved in the production of the film, including Rogen and Franco, appears to have responded to Yi’s accusations.
