Canada Post, Sobey’s and Market Commissioner Summerhill are among 22 employers added to the list on April 8.

Workplaces have reported outbreaks of 13, nine and five cases, respectively, according to the Toronto COVID-19 Monitoring Dashboard.

Among the new reports, two cases are linked to the city of Toronto and six cases were linked to a Loblaws location, although both outbreaks have already been declared over.

A separate outbreak in the city of Toronto reported on March 31 now affects 15 people.

Two previously reported outbreaks, one at the Toronto Police Department and the other at Pusateri’s Fine Foods, have been declared over.

An outbreak at an Amazon fulfillment center has spread to 18 people.

The biggest outbreak in the city is at Array Marketing, a company that provides in-store marketing services. Forty-four people have tested positive for the virus since April 3.

Toronto Public Health declares a COVID-19 outbreak in a workplace when there have been at least two laboratory-confirmed cases of the virus with an epidemiologic link within a 14-day period.

The link could be that those infected work in the same area during the same shift, or that no confirmed source of infection outside of the workplace is evident.

The list of workplace outbreaks is updated every Thursday and includes the name of the workplace, the number of COVID-19 cases and the date the outbreak was declared.

To protect the privacy of individuals, only workplaces with 20 or more employees are publicly named.
