Bruins win Taylor Hall draw, acquire Sabers forward for Bjork, choose: reports

The Buffalo Sabers traded forwards Taylor Hall and Curtis Lazar to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Anders Bjork and a second-round pick. Buffalo also kept 50 percent of Hall’s salary.
Several media reported the news early Monday morning. CBC Sports has yet to independently confirm the news.

Hall signed a one-year, US $ 8 million contract with the Sabers during the offseason. In Buffalo, Hall had just two goals and 17 assists in 37 games. The Calgary, Alta. Native was drafted 1st overall by the Edmonton Oilers in 2010.

Curtis Lazar, meanwhile, signed a two-year contract with the Sabers in September. The Salmon Arm, BC native has nine points in 33 games with Buffalo this season.

In exchange for Hall and Lazar, the Sabers get a 24-year-old forward to Anders Bjork and a second-round pick in 2021. Bjork was drafted 146th overall by the Bruins in 2014 and played 138 NHL games over the course of his career. The forward has five points in 30 games this season.
