The British Columbia government is encouraging people born in 1966 or earlier to sign up for the COVID-19 vaccine now, but this age group shouldn’t expect to be vaccinated for a few weeks.

The province’s new reservation system allows anyone to register, but the province is asking people to take their turn to reduce pressure on the online portal.

British Columbians can also register by phone or in person at a Service BC location.

The province is currently reserving the 66 and over age group for vaccinations. But there are concerns about the speed with which the province will be able to evolve through the demographics by age.
