Another argued added that dressing like Ajax will not solve their frustrating and somewhat embarrassing recent form in the Champions League and Europa League.

They wrote, “Dressing up as Ajax won’t make us play the UCL guys.” While another added: “Arsenal always have good kits, too bad for football though. “

One fan even took the opportunity to congratulate the Dutch team, saying: “This is Ajax FC, we are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen”.

Images of the new home shirt come just days after Footyheadlines revealed the club’s third shirt for next season.

The lightning-inspired shirt, designed by Adidas, will be predominantly blue and has been stylishly complemented with a shade of turquoise and red and white logos.

It reflects the memorable “Blue Lightning” outdoor kits released by Nike, and worn by a range of big names in swashbuckling, between 1994 and 1996.
