Dacia has announced its intention to launch the world’s first affordable space program. Called Dacia Dustar, the economy brand claims that “the company represents a new dawn in space travel at a good price-performance ratio”.

Speaking at Dustar’s Secret Technical Base, COO Noel Armstrong said, “We are all about providing the best value for money without compromising on quality. We made it on Earth, so launching a car into space is the obvious next step!

“Going into space is a dream for many, but we want to show that you can go a little way and make it a reality. I am delighted that today we start by sending our tough and rugged Dacia Duster to new heights. ”

The second-generation Duster SUV is much more likely to take off.

Skoda has developed a new In Tune software which monitors cabin singing and automatically corrects the pitch of the voice. The corrected audio is then played back through the car’s speakers in real time, masking songs that are out of range.

In Tune is available for free download and is designed to “come to the rescue of drivers and passengers across the country, who suffer in silence alongside those who think they are the next Beyoncé or Rick Astley.”

“The ongoing foreclosure situation in the UK is straining families and friendships, and with the prospect of the children heading home for the Easter holidays, tensions are likely to run high,” said Carrie O ‘Key, Head of Vehicle Audio at Skoda.
