The Toronto District School Board announced on Sunday evening that Brian Public School in North York and Victoria Village Public School in the east end of Toronto will fire students effective Monday, March 29.
Students will switch to distance learning as Toronto Public Health staff investigate the spread of the virus.
According to TDSB COVID-19 data, Brian has seven staff members and two students infected with the virus. Victoria Village also has seven cases.

The Toronto Catholic District School Board also announced on Sunday that St. Dominic Savio Catholic School in Scarborough would close on Monday on Toronto public health advice.
Five students at the school have tested positive for COVID-19.
“The school community has been notified and we will provide updates as they become available,” he said in a tweet.

Two other Catholic schools in Toronto, St. Charles Garnier Catholic School and Our Lady of Victory Catholic School are also closed due to COVID-19 infections.
