QB, WR named Eagles' greatest need after free agency

The Eagles made a quietly effective free agency move, adding free safety Anthony Harris to the roster for a one-year contract.
The Eagles still have some dire needs and as the first two weeks of free agency and the legal tampering period draws to a close, PFF has taken a look at the pre-draft and post-free agency needs for all 32 teams.

Philly has been in decline since their Super Bowl LI win over the Patriots and is firmly in rebuilding territory. Jalen Hurts is expected to take over as quarterback, but that doesn’t mean the team shouldn’t keep looking for a franchise starter. Hurts has proven he can do ground damage and throw off-structure shots that some can’t, but there are a lot of question marks around his game after posting a poor passing score of 57. , 5 on the home stretch in 2020. A dream scenario would be Justin Fields drops to Philadelphia in 6th place, but they should also be among the teams aggressively trying to replace him.

The Eagles welcomed Joe Flacco on Monday, and if he signs a deal, it’ll be tough to see the Eagles use the No.6 pick on a quarterback.

The quarterback position could be an overall need, but Flacco could influence how much capital the Eagles use for a solid upgrade or save.
