Piers Morgan says his ex-wife talks better about him than Susanna Reid

Piers Morgan has admitted how disappointed he is with Susanna Reid’s ‘icy’ statement after her explosive departure from Good Morning Britain.
The former show host, now 55, said he was taken aback by Susanna’s “stony-faced” statement and hinted that even his ex-wife and mother of three sons, Marion Shalloe, had provided more support after her release.

Piers left the ITV breakfast show after storming the set hours earlier following a fierce war of words with meteorologist Alex Beresford.

The couple had a heated disagreement over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Piers had called the huge televised event a two-hour ‘trash-a-thon’ and said he was’ disgusted ‘by some of the Sussexes’ comments.

Some of the more sensational accusations – which Piers said he didn’t believe – included Meghan claiming that a member of the Royal Family had expressed ‘concerns’ about Archie’s skin color, as she said also that a lack of support from the cabinet left her feeling suicidal. .

Piers Morgan stormed GMB before leaving the series

And writing for the Daily Mail in his first column since its release, Piers opened up about how he felt after seeing Susanna on the show.

He said: “At 6:30 am I turned on GMB to see what my ‘TV wife’ Susanna would say about our sudden divorce.

“With a stony face, she read a short, rather icy statement: Piers and I disagreed on a lot of things and that dynamic was one of the things viewers loved about the show.

“’He is without a doubt an outspoken, stimulating, opinionated and disruptive broadcaster.

“’He’s got a lot of reviews, and he’s got a lot of fans. You will know that I disagree with him about Meghan’s interview.

Piers Morgan called Susanna Reid’s comments about her outing ‘frozen’

“’He himself clarified his comments about his sanity on yesterday’s show. There are a lot of voices on GMB, and everyone has a say.

“’But now Piers has decided to quit the program. Some of you may clap and some will boo.

“He has been my primary partner for over five years and during Brexit and the pandemic and other issues he has been a voice for many of you, and a voice that many of you have insulted yourself against.

“” It will certainly be very different, but the shows go on and so on. ”

“Hell, even my real ex-wife talks more affectionately about me than that (and, in fact, I did it overnight in a very supportive post). ”
