Show creator Matt Groening has revealed little about Apu’s future role in the USA Today on-demand animated series. However, he did refer to something going on with the series, noting, “We have plans for Apu, but we need to see if we can make the stories work. ”
The creator confirmed that no voice actor had been chosen for Apu Nahasapeemapetilon – at the time of writing – but mentioned that he was “working on something ambitious”. Groening closed the matter with a note of secrecy, adding, “That’s all I can say. ”
