LeBron James' son Bronny on Nets signing LaMarcus Aldridge

The news of LaMarcus Aldridge joining the Brooklyn Nets did not please Bronny James, son of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, very well. The King’s eldest son appears to have posted a story of a tweet that reacted to Aldridge going to Brooklyn, saying, “All of this to arrest a 36-year-old man in 18 years.” He paired that with five straight face emojis.

The Nets are obviously the biggest threat to the Lakers as they look to defend their NBA championship. Aldridge’s arrival comes after the recent acquisition of former Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin, also via the buyout route. While the two former NBA greats are no longer in their prime, they are still significant additions to an already busy Nets team led by the trio of superstars Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving.

The Lakers are obviously still among the big favorites to come back back to back, but the Brooklyn team with three current All-Stars and three former All-Stars is a huge threat to their throne.

Los Angeles is also currently in the midst of a critical turning point in its season. Their two superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis both came out with their respective injuries. James is expected to miss four to six weeks after suffering a severe ankle sprain, while Davis continues to recover from a delicate calf injury.

The Lakers were hoping to add Aldridge themselves, but it looks like Brooklyn’s depth has pushed him towards the Nets. Still, all hope is not lost for the defending champions, as they would be the first to land Andre Drummond, who was recently bought out by the Cleveland Cavaliers. And of course, as long as King James and The Brow are at full strength, it will be tough to beat Purple and Gold in a 7-match streak.
